Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to some of the most asked, or anticipated, questions regarding access and use of the Snappy Domains website.

Can anyone register?

Anyone of legal age to enter into a contract to sell or purchase a domain is welcome to register. We reserve, at our sole discretion, to limit or remove access priveledges to the website for any reason, including, but not limited to, limited or inaccurate user account information, assertations by another party of theft, fraud or default of agreement or any violation of our Terms of Service.

Does it cost anything?

Registering with the website is free! We only require a %2 of sale price "successful Transaction" fee from sellers to be paid upon completion of any transaction initiated through the Snappy Domains website.

What domains are able to be listed for sale?

We put a strong emphasis on short, brandable "acronym" domains and strong keyword domains in the .com and .net extensions. For that reason, we limit the domains we accept for inclusion on the website to 3-letter (LLL) .com and .net, 4-letter (LLLL) .com (preference given to pronounceable domains), single-keyword .com and .net and (relevant and useful) double-keyword .com domains.

How many domains may I submit and/or sell?

You are welcome to submit as many domains as you feel meet the stated criteria for inclusion, but we reserve the right to approve, or to not approve, the submission for inclusion on the website. In general, we will accept up to 100 domains per registered user but are willing to make exceptions based on your portfolio. By default users are able to submit only 1 domain at a time but, if you are a validated member and have a larger portfolio that meets our criteria,  we can also add a list of domains in bulk from the administrative side.

May I list accepted domains for sale on other venues still?

Of course! We consider Snappy Domains to be one of many resources available to assist domain investors in buying and selling premium domains. Therefore, sellers are not expected to list domains "exclusively" on our platform. However, we DO insist that sellers keep their list of domains for sale on Snappy Domains up to date and promptly remove any domains they no longer own.

What is the difference between purchasing a "domain" and a "website"?

Unless indicated otherwise, all sales are for the domain name only (assuming control of domain as lawful registrant through the transfer of domain name to buyers account). In instances where a domain listing indicates "website included" (ie the domain is developed), than a purchase at listed price (or an accepted offer) is understood to include the website with the domain. However, it is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to clarify the details, legality and any other costs of selling the developed domain. It could be the case that the seller is using a free or paid script and/or software on said website, and do not have the right to "sell" the script, software and/or license, and it will therefore be the responsibility of buyer and seller to determine the legal possibilities for transfer of said website prior to agreeing on a price.

Domains listed as being developed (website included) must contain relevant content and may NOT be a simple "landing page" or parked page.
